Description

The Mercury is a 4-gang white extension lead with a 3m cable, four 13A UK sockets and a red neon indicator that lights when the unit is powered. The housing measures 251mm long by 59mm deep, providing four sockets in a horizontal configuration with 13A combined load capacity across all outlets.

Designed for workshop benches, home offices, kitchen worktops and entertainment units where multiple appliances need power from a single wall socket, the Mercury includes keyholes on the rear for wall mounting if needed. The 3m cable length allows positioning away from the wall socket while keeping the extension lead accessible on a desk or worktop surface.

The cable uses 3-core 1.25mm² conductors rated to 13A on 250V AC mains, compliant with BS1363/A. The unit is non-rewireable, meaning the cable is permanently attached to the housing and cannot be replaced if damaged. The white finish and compact 26mm height profile suit domestic and light commercial installations where the extension lead remains visible.

No. The Mercury is a non-rewireable unit, meaning the cable is permanently moulded into the housing. If the cable becomes damaged, the entire extension lead must be replaced.

Can it be wall-mounted?

Yes. The rear of the housing includes keyhole mounting points for fixing to a wall or the underside of a desk. Mounting hardware is not included.

Does the neon stay lit continuously when powered?

Yes. The red neon indicator illuminates whenever the extension lead is connected to a live mains socket, providing a visual confirmation that power is available to the outlets.
