Description

The Mercury is a 5m single-socket extension lead rated at 13A and finished in white. The lead provides one UK 13A socket on a 5-metre cable run from a standard UK 13A plug, allowing appliances to be powered from wall sockets that are out of reach or inconveniently positioned.

Designed for domestic, workshop and light commercial use, the extension lead suits desk lamps, radios, power tools, vacuum cleaners and other portable appliances drawing up to 13A (approximately 3,000W on 230V mains). The 5m cable length covers typical room dimensions without requiring multiple shorter extensions to be daisy-chained, which reduces fire risk and maintains better voltage delivery to the appliance.

The lead is rewireable, meaning the plug and socket housings can be opened with a screwdriver to replace damaged cable or repair internal connections without discarding the entire unit. What does rewireable mean?
