The Merapi is a 16cm spherical aluminium vase with a dark bronze exterior, a gold-leaf interior and a textured rim that mimics the irregular edge of cooling lava. The sphere sits on a flat base, giving stability on shelves, mantels and console tables without needing additional support.

Designed as a decorative centrepiece rather than a functional flower vase, the Merapi works on dining tables, hallway consoles and side tables where the contrast between the matte bronze outer surface and the reflective gold interior creates visual interest from multiple angles. The 13cm height and 16cm diameter give the piece enough presence to anchor a display without dominating small surface areas.

The aluminium construction keeps the weight at just under 1kg, making the vase easy to reposition during seasonal styling changes. The textured rim is hand-finished, so each piece shows slight variation in the edge profile. The vase is not watertight and is not food safe — it is intended for dry decorative use only. Protect wood and painted surfaces from condensation if using the vase to hold cut stems in water.
