The Mediterranean is a 37.5cm-wide ceramic bowl with a reactive cream glaze and hand-applied beaded rim detail. The reactive glaze process produces subtle champagne-toned highlights on each bead, with tonal variation across the surface depending on kiln temperature and firing duration. The bowl sits on a small footed base, raising the main body approximately 12cm from a surface.

Designed as a decorative centrepiece for dining tables, console tables and kitchen islands, the bowl functions as a display piece for dried arrangements, pot pourri, or grouped fruit rather than as functional tableware. The 37.5cm diameter suits tables 120cm or longer without overwhelming the surface. The 3.97kg weight provides stability on bare timber, marble and lacquered surfaces without needing to be anchored.

Each bowl carries different tonal variation in the glaze and bead highlights due to the reactive firing process, so no two pieces are identical. The cream base with champagne-toned accents pairs with warm neutrals, natural timber and brass or gold metalwork in both traditional and contemporary interiors.
