Description

A set of three bud vases in clear recycled glass, each 10cm high and each a different shape. One is a ball with vertical ribs running up it to a short straight neck. One is a smooth pear, widest low down and drawn in to a neck that flares at the rim. The third is a straight sided cylinder with a flat shoulder and an upright neck. All three carry small bubbles in the glass and a rim that is not quite even.

Each neck is narrow, so a stem stands upright in it without any help. The three are meant to stand together, and because the shapes differ the group reads as gathered rather than matched. They take dried stems as readily as fresh ones, and stood in a line each holds a single stem. They suit a windowsill, a mantelpiece, a bedside table or the middle of a dining table.

The glass is recycled and hand blown into a simple mould, which is where the bubbles and the softened edges come from. Each of the three stands 10cm high, and no two carry the same bubbles. The set arrives boxed, so it can be given as it comes.
