Description

The matt black eyelid bezel is a 300mm diameter polycarbonate accessory designed to fit Knightsbridge BT EVO bulkhead lights. The bezel clips over the standard bulkhead face and adds a 40mm-deep hooded projection that directs light downward while shielding the light source from side viewing angles, reducing glare for anyone approaching the fitting from the side.

Designed for commercial, industrial and residential outdoor applications where the standard circular bulkhead profile needs to be visually softened or where light spill into neighbouring areas needs to be controlled. Common installations include building entrances, stairwells, covered walkways, loading bays and perimeter walls where the bulkhead sits at or above eye level. The bezel fits directly onto the existing BT EVO bulkhead housing without modification to the electrical installation.

The matt black finish absorbs rather than reflects light, which keeps the bezel itself visually recessive once installed and pairs well with dark-painted facades, anthracite-grey render, charcoal cladding and industrial metal finishes. The polycarbonate construction withstands the same outdoor exposure as the BT EVO bulkhead itself, including UV degradation, rain ingress and impact from casual knocks during ladder work or maintenance access.

Which BT EVO bulkheads is this bezel compatible with?

The bezel fits all 300mm diameter Knightsbridge BT EVO bulkheads, including models with corridor sensors, photocell sensors, microwave sensors and emergency backup. It clips onto the existing bulkhead housing without needing to modify the electrical installation or remove the bulkhead from the wall.

Does the bezel reduce the light output?

The bezel redirects rather than blocks light. It channels more light downward and reduces the amount of light emitted horizontally or upward, which can appear as a reduction in overall brightness when viewed from the side but increases the intensity directly beneath the bulkhead.

Can the bezel be painted?

Polycarbonate accepts paint poorly and most paints will flake or peel under UV exposure. If a different colour is needed, choose the white eyelid bezel (BTEVBEZEWH) instead or contact us to confirm availability of other finishes.
