Description

This wall-mounted coat rack is bent from one continuous run of iron rod into three open loops, finished with small ball-tipped hooks along its top and bottom edges. It is 100% iron in a black powder-coated finish, and it measures 24cm long, 7.5cm wide and 14cm tall, so it asks very little of your wall while giving you a whole row of places to hang things. A ball on the end of a hook is there to stop a strap or a hanging loop slipping off, and here the round knobs also soften the line of black metal, so the rack reads like a simple line drawing rather than plain hardware.

Its short length makes it a natural fit for a narrow hallway, a porch or the patch of wall beside the front door where coats, bags and scarves tend to gather. In a bedroom it can hold a dressing gown, a tote or the clothes you have laid out for the morning, and in a child's room, fixed at a height they can reach, it gives a school bag and coat a place of their own. Because the hooks sit along both the top and the bottom of the rack, you can hang things at two levels, which is handy for a hat above and a bag below.

Powder coating is a finish baked onto metal, and here it gives the iron an even, solid black surface from end to end.
