Description

The MagDuo is a 2-wire low-profile sounder strobe combining an audible alarm with a red LED visual beacon in a single 150mm ceiling or wall-mounted unit. The device runs on a single 2-wire feed from a fire alarm panel, drawing both power and control signal from the same pair of cables. Three selectable sounder modes provide different alert tones, and the volume is adjustable on installation to suit room acoustics and regulatory requirements.

Designed for commercial, educational and residential fire alarm installations, the MagDuo suits corridors, open-plan offices, common areas and spaces where both audible and visual alerting is required under building regulations. The low-profile design at 80mm depth reduces projection from the wall or ceiling compared to traditional deeper units, making it less obtrusive in finished interiors. The integrated wiring base simplifies installation by allowing the main unit to clip on and off for maintenance without rewiring.

The built-in End of Line function allows the device to act as a loop terminator in conventional fire alarm circuits, eliminating the need for a separate EOL resistor at the final device on a zone. The red LED strobe provides visual alerting for hearing-impaired occupants and for noisy environments where the audible alarm alone may not be sufficient. The IP21C rating protects against solid objects over 12.5mm and condensation, making the unit suitable for indoor commercial environments but not wet or outdoor locations.

The unit measures 150mm diameter with an 80mm projection from the mounting surface. The white polycarbonate housing and red translucent lens give a clean finish that blends with commercial ceiling grids and painted walls. The device base is supplied with the unit and accepts standard twin-core fire cable, with terminals accessible behind the lens once the main body is unclipped.
