Description
The LYYT 36 LED Motion Sensing Light uses a passive infra-red sensor to detect movement within approximately 3m range, triggering instant illumination from 36 surface-mounted LEDs. Each light runs on a built-in 600mAh lithium polymer battery recharged via USB-C, and mounts to metal surfaces via an adhesive magnetic strip that allows the light bar to be removed and repositioned without tools.
Designed for wardrobes, cabinets, kitchen drawers, bedside tables, staircases and hallways where fixed lighting is impractical or absent, the 250mm bar fits inside most standard wardrobe widths and along shelf edges. The sensor activates the LEDs when motion is detected and switches off automatically after 15 seconds of inactivity, reducing battery drain. Three colour modes — white, warm, and natural — are selectable via a button on the light bar, allowing adjustment to match the ambient lighting in the room or task at hand.
The magnetic mounting system comprises an adhesive metal strip that fixes to the wall or furniture surface, with the light bar clipping magnetically onto that strip. This allows the bar to be detached for USB-C charging without disturbing the adhesive mount. Each light weighs 120g and projects approximately 20mm from the mounting surface once installed. The 2-pack configuration allows pairing in wardrobes with double doors, on either side of a bed, or along a staircase run where multiple trigger points improve coverage.

Frequently Asked
How is the light charged?
Each bar has a USB-C charging port. The light detaches magnetically from its adhesive mount for charging via any standard USB-C cable and adapter. Charging time and run-time per charge are detailed in the product manual.
What triggers the motion sensor?
The passive infra-red sensor detects body heat movement within approximately 3m range. Opening a wardrobe door, walking past the light, or reaching into a cabinet will typically trigger activation. The light switches off automatically after 15 seconds of no detected motion.
Can the colour mode be changed?
Yes. A button on the light bar cycles between white, warm and natural colour modes. The selected mode is retained when the light switches off and will be active the next time motion triggers the sensor.
Will the adhesive strip damage furniture?
The adhesive magnetic strip is designed for semi-permanent mounting. Removing it may leave residue or lift veneer on some furniture finishes. Test on an inconspicuous area first, or mount inside the wardrobe frame where any residue will not be visible.
