Description
The LYYT 24V RGB LED strip light delivers 60 Epistar RGB5050 LEDs per metre across a 5m reel, producing colour-changing effects at 600 lumens per metre. The strip runs on 24Vdc, drawing 14.4W per metre (72W for the full 5m reel), and carries an IP65 rating from the epoxy coating that seals the LEDs and backing against dust and water splashes.
Designed for decorative and accent lighting in bars, clubs, retail displays, signage, home entertainment rooms and vehicle interiors, the strip fixes in place with a self-adhesive backing and can be cut to length at 10cm intervals. The 140-degree beam angle from each LED provides wide colour wash across walls, under counters, behind mirrors, or along ceiling coving. RGB colour mixing is controlled via a separate RGB controller (not included), with compatibility confirmed for AVSL models 153.797UK (basic RGB), 153.777UK (DMX) and 153.896UK (WiFi).
The strip measures 12mm wide by 3mm thick, making it suitable for narrow mounting channels and recesses. The 16mm LED spacing produces smooth colour blending at typical viewing distances of 300mm or more. Runs longer than 5m require an RGB amplifier (AVSL 153.771UK, sold separately) to maintain brightness and colour accuracy. The strip is supplied with solder connection accessories for joining to power feeds or additional reels.

Frequently Asked
What controller does this strip require?
The strip requires a separate RGB controller to operate. It's compatible with AVSL models 153.797UK (basic RGB), 153.777UK (DMX), and 153.896UK (WiFi). None of these controllers are included with the strip.
Can the strip be cut to length?
Yes. The strip can be cut at 10cm intervals (marked on the strip itself). After cutting, the solder connection accessories supplied with the reel allow you to rejoin sections or connect to power feeds.
What power supply is needed?
The strip runs on 24Vdc and draws 14.4W per metre. For the full 5m reel, a 24V power supply rated at 72W minimum (allowing headroom, a 90-100W supply is recommended) is required. Power supplies are sold separately.
Is the IP65 rating suitable for outdoor use?
IP65 protects against dust and water jets, making the strip suitable for covered outdoor locations (under eaves, canopies, behind sealed channels). It is not rated for full immersion or direct exposure to heavy rain.
