Description

The LYYT 24V High Output LED Strip is a 5m reel of cool white 6000K LED tape carrying 120 Epistar SMD3528 LEDs per metre, delivering 720 lumens per metre at 9.6W per metre power draw. The strip is epoxy-coated to IP65, sealing the LEDs and PCB against dust and low-pressure water jets, making it suitable for damp environments, outdoor covered locations and commercial display applications where occasional contact with moisture is expected.

Designed for under-cabinet lighting, retail display cases, signage backlighting, cove lighting and task lighting in kitchens, bathrooms and workshops, the strip runs on 24Vdc via a separate power supply (sold separately). The 140-degree beam angle from each LED creates a wide wash of light that minimises hotspots and creates even coverage along the length of the strip. The self-adhesive backing allows the strip to be fixed directly to clean, dry surfaces including aluminium extrusions, glass shelves and painted walls.

The strip can be cut to length at 5cm intervals (marked on the PCB), allowing precise fitting to shelves, cabinets and architectural features without wasted material. Each metre draws 400mA at 24Vdc, so the full 5m reel requires a 24V power supply rated for at least 2A (48W) continuous output. The 6000K colour temperature produces a crisp, neutral-to-cool white light similar to midday daylight, which enhances contrast and detail in task lighting applications and pairs well with contemporary commercial and residential interiors.

The 10.3mm width and 2.55mm thickness (including epoxy coating) allow the strip to fit inside narrow extrusions and channels. The strip weighs 210g for the full 5m reel, light enough to be supported by the adhesive backing alone on most surfaces without additional mechanical fixing.

What power supply do I need?

The strip requires a 24Vdc power supply. Each metre draws 400mA, so the full 5m reel needs a supply rated for at least 2A (48W) continuous output. Power supplies are sold separately.

Can it be used outdoors?

The IP65 rating protects against dust and low-pressure water jets, making it suitable for covered outdoor locations such as soffits, pergolas and canopies. It is not waterproof enough for full immersion or exposure to driving rain.

Can I cut the strip to a specific length?

Yes. The strip can be cut every 5cm at marked cutting points along the PCB. Cutting at any other point damages the circuit and voids the warranty.

Is the strip dimmable?

Dimming is possible using a 24V PWM LED dimmer controller (sold separately) placed between the power supply and the strip. Standard mains wall dimmers are not compatible.
