Description

The LYYT 24V High Output LED Strip is a 5m continuous reel of 4000K natural white LED tape with 120 Epistar SMD3528 LEDs per metre, delivering 720 lumens per metre. The strip runs on 24V DC and draws 9.6W per metre, giving a total power consumption of 48W across the full 5m length when connected to a suitable 24V LED driver (sold separately). The IP65 epoxy coating seals the LEDs and circuit traces against water ingress, making the strip suitable for damp interior locations and protected outdoor applications.

Designed for task lighting, cove lighting, under-cabinet installations, retail display illumination and architectural accent work, the strip is cuttable every 5cm along marked intervals, allowing it to be trimmed to exact lengths without waste. The self-adhesive backing fixes the strip to clean, dry surfaces including aluminium extrusion channels, MDF, painted walls and ceiling pelmets. The 140° beam angle provides wide, even light distribution without visible LED hotspots when mounted inside diffuser channels or behind translucent panels.

The 4000K colour temperature sits between warm white (2700-3000K) and cool white (5000-6500K), producing a neutral daylight tone that works in offices, workshops, kitchens and commercial interiors where accurate colour rendering matters. The 8mm LED spacing and high density of 120 LEDs per metre give a continuous light line rather than the dotted appearance of lower-density strips. The strip cross-section of 10.3 x 2.55mm fits standard 12mm wide LED channels and the 210g total weight for the 5m reel allows installation on vertical and overhead surfaces without additional mechanical support.

What LED driver is needed?

The strip requires a 24V DC constant voltage LED driver. For the full 5m reel drawing 48W total, a driver rated at 60W or above provides headroom. If cutting the strip to a shorter length, calculate wattage as 9.6W per metre and choose a driver accordingly.

Can the strip be used outdoors?

The IP65 epoxy coating protects against water jets and dust, making the strip suitable for sheltered outdoor locations such as under eaves, inside sealed channels, or beneath coping. It is not IP67 or IP68 rated for submersion or direct exposure to standing water.

Is the strip dimmable?

Yes, when paired with a dimmable 24V LED driver and a compatible dimmer control. The strip itself has no dimming circuitry — dimming is achieved by modulating the driver output.

How is the strip cut to length?

The strip has cut marks every 5cm along its length. Cut along these marks with sharp scissors or a craft knife. Cutting between marks breaks the circuit and renders that section non-functional.
