Description

The LYYT 24V High Output LED Strip is a 5m reel delivering 1084 lumens per metre from 120 SMD 2835 LEDs per metre, outputting warm white light at 3000K. The strip consumes 12.8W per metre at 24Vdc and runs at 533mA per metre current draw. The IP20 rating limits installation to dry indoor locations only.

Designed for continuous accent lighting under kitchen cabinets, within display shelving, behind television units and along cornice profiles, the strip arrives on a 5m reel with self-adhesive backing and can be cut to length at 5cm intervals without affecting the remaining sections. Each cut point is marked on the strip and the copper pads at each interval allow for soldered or connector-based joins. The 2.1mm DC plug and socket pre-fitted to the reel ends simplify connection to a compatible 24V LED driver.

The 10mm width and 1mm thickness of the strip allow it to fit into shallow profiles and tight mounting channels where larger light fittings cannot. The 120° beam angle from each 2835 Sanan LED gives wide light spread without visible individual LED points when the strip is mounted behind a diffuser or recessed into a profile. The warm white 3000K colour temperature pairs comfortably with incandescent-style ambient lighting and warm-toned interiors.

The 24V operating voltage offers improved efficiency and longer maximum run lengths compared to 12V strips of equivalent output, reducing voltage drop across longer installations and allowing fewer power injection points on runs beyond 3-4 metres.

A 24V LED driver rated for the total wattage of the installation is required. The strip consumes 12.8W per metre, so a 5m reel requires at least a 64W driver. Add 20% overhead for safety, so a 75-80W 24V driver is recommended for the full reel.

Can the strip be dimmed?

Yes, when paired with a dimmable 24V LED driver or a compatible PWM dimmer controller placed between the driver and the strip. The strip itself has no dimming electronics onboard.

Where can the strip be cut?

The strip can be cut at marked intervals every 5cm without damaging the remaining sections. Each cut point shows copper pads for soldering or connecting additional sections.

Is this suitable for bathrooms or outdoor use?

No. The IP20 rating means the strip has no protection against moisture or dust ingress and is suitable for dry indoor locations only. Bathrooms and outdoor installations require IP65 or IP67 rated strips.
