Description

The LYYT 230V LED rope light is a 45m reel of yellow flexible tubing containing 36 rice-style LED bulbs per metre, spaced at 27.7mm intervals inside a 13mm diameter weatherproof sleeve. The rope runs on 230V mains power at 50Hz and carries an IP44 rating, making it suitable for both indoor decorative installations and outdoor applications where it may be exposed to splashing water but not full submersion.

Designed for event lighting, festive displays, commercial signage outlining, and architectural accent lighting, the rope can be cut at marked 1m intervals to fit specific run lengths without waste. The rope must be fully uncoiled before being powered on to prevent heat build-up, and requires a separate power connector lead (AVSL part 153.624UK, sold separately) to connect to mains. Up to two 45m reels can be linked end-to-end for a total 90m continuous run, though this requires checking total wattage against the power supply capacity.

The yellow LEDs produce a warm amber-toned light output that works well for festive installations, themed events, safety-zone marking in industrial settings, and decorative garden outlining. The rope is dimmable when paired with a compatible 230V LED dimmer, allowing brightness adjustment from full output down to a low glow. Yes. The IP44 rating means the rope is protected against splashing water from any direction, making it suitable for outdoor use in rain and frost. It operates within a -20°C to +80°C temperature range. Do not submerge the rope or expose cut ends to water without proper sealing.

What power connector is needed to run this rope?

The rope requires a separate power connector lead to connect to 230V mains. AVSL part number 153.624UK is the compatible connector for this rope light system. The rope cannot be plugged directly into a standard socket without this connector.

Can the rope be cut to a specific length?

Yes, but only at the marked 1m intervals along the rope. Cutting between these marks will damage the circuit for that section. Each 1m segment contains 36 bulbs. After cutting, the cut end must be properly sealed if the rope will be used outdoors.

Is the rope dimmable?

Yes, when paired with a compatible 230V LED dimmer. Standard incandescent dimmers may not work correctly with LED rope lights and can cause flickering or failure to dim smoothly.
