Description

This is a set of three round plant pots made from iron, finished in a worn, mottled gold that looks gently aged rather than freshly polished. The sizes are graduated. The smallest is 14cm across and 6.5cm tall, a low, wide shape for a shallow-rooted succulent or a handful of pine cones. The other two share a height of 9cm, one 15cm across and one 17cm across, so they sit level beside each other while still stepping out in width. Raised bands run around the sides of each pot beneath a slightly flared rim.

They are sized for windowsills, mantelpieces, bookshelves and the middle of a dining table, where three small pots in a row look considered rather than cluttered. Small succulents and trailing plants suit them well, and the set was made with Christmas in mind: fill them with pine cones, sprigs of fir, moss or a few baubles for the festive weeks, then keep them out afterwards as everyday plant pots.
