Description

The Lucerne is a 4-arm chandelier built around a central brushed nickel column with four straight arms radiating out in a cross formation, each supporting a grey fabric shade and E14 bulb holder. The brushed nickel frame combines tubular arms with a chain suspension, giving the fitting a contemporary industrial profile softened by the tapered fabric shades.

Designed for dining rooms, living areas and entrance halls with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above, the Lucerne provides ambient light distributed across a 618mm diameter spread. The height is adjustable on installation from a 544mm minimum drop to 1280mm maximum via the 700mm chain length, allowing the chandelier to be positioned 700-900mm above a dining table or lowered further in double-height spaces. Each arm houses an E14 small Edison screw socket accepting candle-style bulbs up to 25W.

The grey fabric shades diffuse light downward and outward, reducing glare while maintaining enough brightness for task and ambient use. The brushed nickel finish shows visible brush marks that soften reflections under daylight and pair well with both warm and cool-toned interiors. The neutral grey shade fabric sits between warm stone tones and cooler charcoal, giving flexibility in rooms with mixed finishes. The chandelier weighs approximately 3kg and fits standard UK ceiling roses.

What ceiling height is needed?

The minimum drop of 544mm works in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above when hung over a dining table. The maximum 1280mm drop suits double-height spaces or stairwells. The chain length is adjustable on installation to set the correct height.

Can the height be changed after installation?

Height adjustment happens during installation by shortening or extending the chain. Once the chandelier is wired and fitted, changing the drop requires removing the ceiling rose cover and re-threading the chain, which involves isolating the circuit.

Are the shades removable for cleaning?

Yes. The grey fabric shades typically slide or clip onto the bulb holders and can be removed for dusting or spot-cleaning. Avoid washing fabric shades in water as this can distort the shape and leave watermarks.
