Description

The Lmaga is an iron planter 30cm high and 33cm wide, with an opening 26cm across. The grooves are pressed into the metal rather than cast or cut into it, so they run evenly around the form. The iron is welded once the shape is complete and then finished with a dark patina, which is where the aged black comes from.

The 26cm opening takes a nursery pot up to that width, dropped straight in to sit below the rim. At 30cm high and 33cm wide this is a planter for a floor or a wide surface rather than for a shelf, and it is an indoor planter, made so the green of a houseplant sits against dark metal. It weighs 2.1kg empty.

The planter is iron. The grooves are pressed in, the form is welded and the dark patina goes on last, so the depth of the black varies a little from one planter to the next. The Lmaga is made in two sizes, this one and a larger version 43cm wide. Supplied without an inner pot.

No. It needs an inner pot, and plants that want only a light watering or a spray.

Is it meant for indoors?

Yes. It is an indoor planter.

What is it made from?
