Description

The Lira is a 60cm circular LED suspension light combining a brushed gold metal frame with a textured glass diffuser ring. An integrated 42W LED strip sits within the circular frame, casting 3000K warm white light downward through the glass and outward from the inner edge of the ring. The textured glass creates a pattern of diffused light across the ceiling and surrounding surfaces, softening the output compared to exposed LEDs.

Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands and living room centrepieces, the Lira hangs on four steel suspension cables with an adjustable drop from 50cm to 150cm. This range allows the fitting to be set 70-90cm above a dining table in rooms with 2.4-2.7m ceiling heights, or raised higher in double-height spaces. The brushed gold finish on the aluminium frame works in both traditional and contemporary interiors, pairing with warm wood tones, marble worktops and neutral wall colours.

The circular form measures 60cm outer diameter with a 10cm height from the base of the canopy to the bottom edge of the glass diffuser, giving the fitting a sculptural presence without dominating smaller rooms. At 5.5kg the light requires secure ceiling fixing into a joist or ceiling rose rated for the weight. The IP20 rating limits installation to dry indoor locations only.

The LED strip produces 1800 lumens across the 42W output, which translates to moderate ambient lighting for a 12-16m² dining or living area, or directed task lighting over a kitchen island or workspace. The CRI rating above 80 renders skin tones and natural materials with reasonable colour accuracy under the 3000K warm white temperature.

The integrated 42W LED is non-dimmable on standard mains switching. If dimming capability is required, check with the manufacturer or contact Niori for compatible driver options before installation.

What ceiling height is needed?

The adjustable drop ranges from 50cm to 150cm. For dining table installation, the light typically hangs 70-90cm above the table surface, which suits rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above. The drop can be shortened or lengthened during fitting depending on your ceiling height.

Can it be installed in a bathroom?

No. The IP20 rating means the Lira is only suitable for dry indoor locations with no exposure to moisture or steam. It cannot be used in bathrooms, wet rooms, or outdoor covered areas.

How is the textured glass cleaned?

Wipe the glass diffuser with a dry microfibre cloth when the light is switched off and cool. For stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable. Avoid household sprays, ammonia-based cleaners or abrasive materials that can damage the textured surface.
