Description

This table lamp is built around a sculptural black stoneware base, finished in a reactive glaze and topped with a drum shade in a textured woven fabric. The base is stacked from distinct sections: a tapered collar beneath the shade, a flared disc, a full rounded ring, then a foot that widens towards the table. The glaze has a high gloss, so every curve catches the light, whether the lamp is lit or not. At 25cm across and 53cm tall, it is a comfortable size for a side table, a bedside or a sideboard.

We see it working best where people sit in the evening: beside an armchair, at the end of a sofa, on a bedside table or on a hallway console. The black base draws a strong outline against pale walls, while the fabric shade softens and spreads the light.
