Description

The Lincea is a 1200mm linear LED batten built around switchable output and switchable colour. A single power selector steps it between 30W and 45W, drawing up to 4800, 4900 or 5000 lm depending on the setting, while the colour temperature switches across 3000K warm white, 4000K neutral white and 6500K daylight. A wide 140° beam angle spreads even, broad illumination along its length, which is what makes the wraparound batten format so useful for general coverage rather than narrow throw. American buyers will know this style as a shop light, the standard 4ft linear fitting used across garages and workrooms.

The Lincea suits utility and working spaces where flat, reliable light matters more than mood: garages, workshops, stores, plant rooms, laundry areas and corridor runs. At its top setting it puts out around 16 to 17 m² of useful coverage at general lighting levels, so a single unit handles a modest garage bay while longer rooms take a couple in line. Mount it on the ceiling for overhead workspace light or on the wall above a bench where direct downlight would shadow the work. The 6500K daylight setting reads colours and detail crisply for hands-on tasks, while 3000K keeps a softer feel in storage and passage areas.

Construction is steel finished in white, with an IK08 impact rating that copes with knocks in busy practical spaces and an IP40 rating for splash resistance in sheltered positions such as a covered porch or carport. Keep it clear of direct water jets and fully exposed weather. The fitting wires direct from 220 to 240V AC mains and runs at a fixed output once set, so it is not dimmable. Rated for 30,000 hours, it mounts to either wall or ceiling using the supplied brackets. Other lengths and wattages sit within the wider Lincea range if you need to match a run.

Frequently Asked

Where is this batten typically used?

It is built for practical spaces such as garages, workshops, stores, plant rooms and utility corridors. The wide 140° beam and broad output give flat, even coverage along its 1200mm length, which suits task and general working areas rather than decorative settings.

Can it be linked together in a run?

Battens of this type are commonly installed in continuous lines for longer rooms or corridors. Wire each unit to the 220 to 240V AC mains supply and position them end to end to maintain even light along the run. Check the supplied instructions for the linking arrangement before installing.

What is the IP40 rating suitable for?

IP40 means the fitting is splash-resistant and suited to sheltered positions, including covered outdoor spots like a porch or carport and indoor utility areas. It should not be used where it faces direct water jets, full exposure to weather or any submersion.

How do I clean and maintain it?

Switch off at the mains and let the fitting cool, then wipe the white steel housing and diffuser with a soft, dry or barely damp cloth. Avoid solvents and abrasive cleaners, which can mark the finish. With a rated lifespan of 30,000 hours the LEDs need no bulb changes over normal use.
