Description

This is a pair of round baskets in braided water hyacinth, a smaller and a larger one, with a natural colour and a scalloped rim that rises and dips in soft waves around the whole opening. The smaller basket is 38cm across and 40cm tall, the larger 44cm across and 45cm tall, so both are deep, generous baskets for bulky things rather than little trays for keys. The water hyacinth is braided into thick, twisted strands and woven on a diagonal, which gives the sides a rope-like texture you can feel under your hand.

At that size they make good storage for the things that never have a proper home: a folded throw or a blanket for the sofa, spare cushions, a bundle of magazines, soft toys or a child's building bricks at the end of the day.
