Description

This is a dinner plate in purple stoneware, 27cm across and 2cm tall, with a wavy, scalloped rim that sets it apart from a plain round plate. Around the flat centre runs a ring of raised ribs. The glaze runs thinner over each rib and gathers deeper between them, so the border reads like a circle of soft petals while the middle stays a calm, even purple. At 27cm across it is a true dinner plate size, wide enough for a main course with room for sides, and at 1.08KG it feels solid and settled on the table.

We see it as an everyday plate that is also good enough for guests: weekday suppers at the kitchen table, Sunday roasts, or a long dinner with friends in the dining room. The purple brings colour to the table on its own, so it works as well on bare wood as on a plain cloth.
