Description
The Knightsbridge 6-gang grid faceplate is a 148mm square screwless cover plate in black nickel, designed to house six individual grid modules on a modular grid system. The faceplate clips onto a separate mounting frame (GDS003F, sold separately) that fixes to the back box, hiding all fixings behind the plate for a clean finish on the wall.
Designed for commercial, hospitality and residential installations where multiple switching, dimming or data functions need to be grouped in a single location, the grid system allows custom configurations of switches, dimmers, sockets and data modules behind a single coordinated faceplate. The 6-gang layout provides two rows of three apertures, each accepting a standard grid module from the Knightsbridge range.
The black nickel finish is a dark grey-toned metal with a low-sheen surface that suits contemporary, industrial and monochrome interiors. The premium-grade steel construction provides rigidity and a substantial 3.5mm projection from the wall once installed. The plate carries an IP20 rating for standard indoor dry locations and a 25-year warranty from Knightsbridge.

Frequently Asked
What mounting frame is needed?
The faceplate requires one GDS003F mounting frame, sold separately. The frame fixes to the back box and the screwless cover plate clips onto it, hiding all screws and fixings.
What grid modules fit this faceplate?
The 6-gang faceplate accepts six individual grid modules from the Knightsbridge screwless grid range, including switches, dimmers, sockets, USB chargers, blanks and data modules. Mix and match to create custom configurations.
What back box size is required?
A 47mm deep triple back box (or larger) is typically needed to accommodate the mounting frame and the wiring for six grid modules. Consult a qualified electrician for installation advice specific to your configuration.
Can the faceplate be removed for decorating?
Yes. The screwless cover plate clips onto the mounting frame and can be removed without disconnecting wiring, allowing painting or wallpapering around the plate. Re-clip after decorating.
