Description

The Knightsbridge 5ft LED batten is a 1520mm linear light fitting with an integrated 22W LED delivering 2400 lumens of 4000K cool white light through an opal polycarbonate diffuser. The aluminium body measures 30mm wide by 45mm deep, giving a low-profile surface mount that sits close to the ceiling or wall without protruding into the room.

Designed as a direct replacement for fluorescent T5 and T8 battens in garages, workshops, commercial kitchens, storage rooms, offices and utility spaces, the fitting installs via an easy-access terminal box on the rear that accepts mains cable without needing additional drivers or control gear. The integral driver is housed within the batten body, so the fitting is ready to wire and switch on once mounted.

The matt silver aluminium finish and opal diffuser create an even spread of light across the 120° beam angle, reducing harsh shadows and glare in task-heavy environments. The IP20 rating suits dry indoor locations. The fitting is non-dimmable and runs on 230V mains, rated Class II for double insulation. The LED module is rated for 50,000 hours at L70B50, meaning the light output will not drop below 70% of initial lumens within that period under typical use.

Yes. The IP20 rating suits dry indoor locations including garages, workshops, storage rooms and utility areas. The 4000K cool white output and 2400lm brightness provide good task visibility for work benches and general area lighting.

Does it replace fluorescent tube battens?

Yes. This LED batten is designed as a direct replacement for traditional T5 and T8 fluorescent battens. The integrated LED and driver mean no separate ballast or control gear is needed, simplifying both installation and future maintenance.

How is it installed?

The batten surface-mounts to the ceiling or wall via fixing points along the aluminium body. Mains cable connects to an easy-access terminal box on the rear of the fitting. Once wired and switched on, the fitting is ready to use with no additional setup.

Is it dimmable?
