The Knightsbridge 4ft LED batten is a 1220mm linear luminaire with an integrated 17W LED module delivering 1800 lumens at 4000K cool white. The aluminium housing carries an opal polycarbonate diffuser that spreads light at a 120-degree beam angle, providing even task and ambient lighting across workshops, garages, utility rooms, retail stockrooms and commercial corridors.

Designed as a direct replacement for older T5 and T8 fluorescent battens, the fitting mounts to ceilings or walls via fixing points at each end and connects to mains via a rear-mounted terminal box that accepts standard UK ring or radial circuit wiring. The integral driver removes the need for external control gear, and the slimline 30mm width and 45mm projection keep the batten low-profile where headroom is limited or where the fitting sits below services in plant rooms and basements.

Is this batten dimmable?

No. The integrated LED driver does not support dimming. The batten operates at full 1800 lumen output when switched on.

Can it replace an existing T5 or T8 fluorescent batten?

Yes. The 1220mm length matches standard 4ft fluorescent battens. You will need to remove the old batten and its ballast, then mount this unit using the fixing points at each end and connect mains wiring to the rear terminal box.

What does the IP20 rating mean?

IP20 means the batten is protected against solid objects larger than 12.5mm but has no moisture protection. Use it only in dry indoor locations such as garages, workshops, stockrooms and corridors. Do not use in bathrooms, outdoor canopies or damp areas.

What is the L70B50 lifespan?

L70B50 of 50,000 hours means that after 50,000 hours of use, 50% of a batch of these battens will still be producing at least 70% of their original lumen output. At 8 hours per day, that equates to over 17 years before noticeable degradation.
