Description

This is a pink glass vase built from stacked, rounded rings, so it reads like a pile of smooth pebbles balanced one on another. A small collar forms the neck, a wide band makes up the body, and two smaller rings carry it down to the base. It stands 19.5cm tall and measures 18cm across, a compact size that sits happily on a shelf or a side table without crowding it. Because light passes through the glass, the pink looks deeper where the curves tuck inwards and softer across the broad middle.

The neck is much narrower than the body, and that decides how you fill it. It suits a single stem or two, a branch of blossom, a dried hydrangea head or a few grasses, letting the rounded body do most of the work. Equally, it looks complete on its own and empty, on a mantelpiece or a windowsill where it can catch the daylight.
