Description
The Kanya is a 62cm crystal chandelier built on a polished chrome frame with ten E14 bulb fittings distributed across curved arms, each draped with faceted crystal beads. The crystal drops cascade in a stepped cone formation, narrowing from the widest 620mm tier down to a central crystal sphere finial at the base. Each tier reflects and refracts light from the bulbs positioned within the chrome structure.
Designed for rooms with ceiling heights of 3m or above, the Kanya suits double-height entrance halls, dining rooms over large tables, and formal living spaces where a central ceiling fitting anchors the room. The drop adjusts between 1250mm and 2550mm during installation, allowing the chandelier to be set higher in rooms with exceptionally tall ceilings or lower where needed. The 14kg weight requires secure ceiling fixings rated for the load plus a margin — consult a qualified electrician for installation in older properties or plasterboard ceilings.
The crystals are Asfour lead-free optical crystal, cut with multiple facets to maximise refraction. When lit, each crystal acts as a prism, splitting white light into spectrum colours and projecting patterns onto surrounding walls and ceilings. The polished chrome finish on the frame provides high reflectivity, amplifying the effect of the ten bulbs. The chandelier is dimmable when paired with dimmable E14 bulbs and a compatible dimmer switch, allowing output to be reduced for ambient evening lighting or increased for full task light during gatherings.

Frequently Asked
What bulbs does the Kanya take?
The chandelier takes ten E14 small Edison screw bulbs up to 40W each. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED candle bulbs between 4-6W and 2700K for traditional interiors, or clear filament LED bulbs for vintage-style aesthetics.
Is it suitable for standard ceiling heights?
The minimum drop of 1250mm means the chandelier extends at least 125cm from the ceiling rose. In a room with a 2.4m ceiling height, the lowest crystal would hang at approximately 115cm above floor level, which is too low for walkways. The Kanya is designed for ceiling heights of 3m or above, where the chandelier can be safely suspended without headroom issues.
Can the drop height be adjusted after installation?
The drop is set during installation by shortening the chain to the desired length between 1250mm and 2550mm. Once installed, the chain can be adjusted again by an electrician, but this requires isolating the circuit and accessing the ceiling rose — not a task for the end user.
How is the crystal cleaned?
Dust the crystals regularly with a dry microfibre cloth or a soft brush attachment on a vacuum cleaner set to low suction. For deeper cleaning, remove individual crystal strands and wash in warm water with a small amount of washing-up liquid, rinse thoroughly, and dry with a lint-free cloth before reattaching. Do not use ammonia-based cleaners or abrasive materials on the chrome frame or crystals.
