Description

The large Juoni is a pot and a stand. The pot is iron finished in aged antique brass, broad and shallow at 36cm across against 24.5cm of height, so it reads as a wide drum rather than a column. The surface is left variegated, running from gold through copper to grey and a blue-green cast, and no two pots carry the same map of it. The stand is black iron, four plain legs braced by a cross bar at the foot, and the pot drops into the top of it. Together they stand 45cm.

The stand takes 35 by 35cm of floor and holds up to 15kg. A pot 36cm across suits a plant that spreads rather than a single upright stem. The extra 10cm of height over the small Juoni comes almost entirely from the stand: the pot itself is only half a centimetre deeper. Use plants that want only a light water or spray unless an inner pot is used, and keep the planter indoors.

Pot and stand are both iron under their finishes. Only the pot carries the brass, and the stand is black, which is why the two parts look like different metals. Juoni is made in this large size and in a small one at 35cm overall, whose pot measures 24cm high and 28cm across.
