Description

A cream ceramic teapot holding 1500ml, 12cm tall with the lid on and 24cm from the spout to the handle. The body is a low straight-sided drum and the green drop pattern runs as a single band around its upper third, leaving the rest of the body plain. The lid drops into the opening with a short cylindrical knob on top and a ring of the same drops round its edge. The spout is straight and tapered and rises from low on the body, and the handle is a broad D.

At 1500ml this is a pot for a table rather than for one person, and it serves up to four people. It measures 24cm from spout to handle and 14.5cm across the body, so it takes the corner of a tray rather than the middle of one. The lid carries the same drops as the body, which is what the pot shows when it is looked down on from standing height.

The body is ceramic and the drops are painted by hand in Vietnam with a brush, so the spacing of the band varies from pot to pot. It is food safe. Juniper Drop runs across the rest of the table as well: a cup and saucer, mugs, jugs, dinner and side plates, cereal and pasta bowls, a butter dish, egg cups and two serving bowls.

Frequently Asked

How much does it hold?

1500ml. Enough for up to four people.

How big is it?

12cm tall with the lid on, 24cm from the spout to the handle and 14.5cm across the body.

Is it food safe?

Yes.

Is the lid patterned as well?

Yes. A ring of the same drops runs round the edge of the lid, and a band runs round the upper third of the body.

How should I wash it?

Rinse it with warm water after each use so tea does not stain the inside. For a deeper wash, fill it with warm water and a few drops of mild dish soap and work the inside over with a soft sponge or brush. Keep abrasive scourers away from the glaze.
