Description

The Jude is a 305mm clear glass dome pendant suspended from a brushed gold stem and ceiling canopy, with a single E27 bulb fitting at the centre. The half-dome glass shade sits below a cylindrical brushed gold drop rod that passes through the centre of the dome, creating a vertical axis that draws the eye from ceiling to bulb. The transparent glass allows the bulb and its filament to be visible, making bulb choice part of the overall appearance.

Designed for kitchen islands, dining tables and reading corners, the pendant works in rooms with ceiling heights from 2.4m upwards. The drop is adjustable between 559mm and 1583mm on installation, allowing it to be set 700-800mm above a dining surface or 600-900mm above a kitchen worktop depending on ceiling height. The open glass dome disperses light in all directions rather than directing it downward, so the pendant provides ambient light as well as localised task light beneath.

The brushed gold finish on the stem, canopy and central drop rod has a satin sheen that reduces reflections compared to polished brass, pairing comfortably with both warm-toned and neutral interiors. The 305mm dome diameter gives presence without overwhelming smaller kitchen islands or dining tables in the 1.2-1.8m range. The pendant accepts any standard E27 LED, halogen or decorative filament bulb up to 60W (sold separately), with most users choosing a warm-white LED filament bulb at 2700K to complement the brushed gold metalwork.

The clear glass can be wiped with a soft microfibre cloth and standard glass cleaner. The dome is open at the bottom, so dust can settle inside around the bulb — switching off at the wall and allowing the bulb to cool before wiping the interior avoids burns and electrical risk.
