Description

Jolly is a pair of stoneware Christmas mugs in cream, each holding 300ml, which is a proper mug of tea or coffee rather than a dainty cup. The two mugs carry different designs. One has a folk-style border of paired birds and tiny hearts running just under the rim; the other has a simple row of hearts with a line of dots beneath. Both have a gleaming handle and a fine gleaming line around the rim, which lifts the plain cream body without making it fussy. Each mug is 9.5cm across and 8cm tall, a little wider than it is high, with a gently tapered body.

These are mugs for the Christmas weeks: the first tea of the morning on the day itself, coffee with something sweet when family arrive, a hot chocolate by the tree in the evening.
