Description

A single terracotta pot held on an iron wall bracket. The pot is a plain tapered flowerpot with a heavy rolled rim, 16cm across and 13.5cm tall, and it sits into a ring of round iron rod that closes round it just under the rim. The ring is carried on a short flat arm running back to a flat wall plate with two countersunk screw holes in it. The ironwork carries a rust finish, dark rather than orange in tone.

It takes one plant and hangs on a wall, inside or out, standing 20.5cm off it once the bracket is up. Two screws through the plate hold the whole thing, and the pot sits in the ring rather than being fixed into it, so it comes out to be planted and goes back. An aloe is about the size of plant a 16cm pot carries.

The pot is terracotta and the bracket is iron. The pot is unglazed, and the marks from forming it still show round the outside. The Jara range also runs to a wall grid that carries seven pots at once, and to a terracotta planter stand.
