Description

A toast rack bent from iron wire and finished in aged brass: a flat rectangular base 16cm by 10cm standing on small feet, with a run of tall wire loops rising from it to make six slots. The loops are rounded over at the top rather than square, and the base is an open grid rather than a solid tray. The finish is dark over the wire and browner on the bends.

Six slots takes a rack of toast for two, and they are wide enough for a thick wedge cut off a loaf as well as for a thin slice. At 16cm across and 10.5cm tall it sits on a breakfast table without taking the room a plate would. It is food safe.

The wire is iron under an aged brass finish, bent by hand, so the loops are not perfectly matched and the spacing varies a little along the rack. Inkollu runs as a kitchen range in the same finish: a cutlery holder, a dish rack, a spice rack, a wire stand and a cookbook stand among them.
