Description

This is a wide glass bowl with beige stripes running through it from the base up to the rim, and a rim that rises and dips in soft waves along its whole edge. It measures 32cm long, 30cm wide and 13cm tall, which makes it a generous serving bowl rather than a small dish, broad enough for a heap of fruit or a salad for the whole table. It is made from 100% glass, and light shines through the bowl between the stripes, so it looks lighter than its 1.55KG weight.

The maker states that it is food safe, so it can earn its place on the dining table as well as on a shelf. Fill it with lemons, apples or clementines on a kitchen worktop, bring it out with a green salad or a pile of warm bread rolls for a long Sunday lunch, or set it in the middle of the table when friends visit. Between meals it works as a decorative bowl on a sideboard, a bookcase or a hall console, left empty to show the stripes or filled with a few pine cones in winter.
