Description
These are three paper Christmas stars in cream, each cut into long, pointed spikes with rows of small cut-outs and finely notched edges, so light passes through them and every outline stays crisp against a wall or a window. The set comes in two sizes: the largest star is 66cm across and the other two are 45cm across each, which gives you one star to lead the group and a pair of smaller ones to sit around it. Together the three weigh 0.32KG, and each hangs from its own string.
A 66cm star has real presence. It is big enough to fill the centre of a bay window or to hang in a stairwell where it catches the eye from the hall. The smaller pair work at a gentler scale: either side of a window, against a bare wall, above a bed or at different heights along a landing. Cream sits comfortably with fresh greenery, pale wood and other paper decorations. The stars suit a quiet, pared-back Christmas as well as a fuller one, and they look as right in a small flat as in a family house with high ceilings.
The stars are made of paper with a printed finish, and the cut-out pattern runs along every spike, so each one looks finished from any side as it turns gently on its string. Paper holds a sharp fold well, which gives every spike its clean, defined ridge. We like to hang the three at staggered heights, with the large star a little lower and to one side, so the group reads as one arrangement rather than a row. Leave a hand's width of space between them so each outline shows.

Frequently Asked
What comes in the set and how big are the stars?
You get three paper stars. The largest is 66cm across and the other two are 45cm across each, so you have one large star and a pair of smaller ones.
What are the stars made of?
They are made of paper with a printed finish. Each one is cut with long pointed spikes, small cut-outs and finely notched edges.
How do the stars hang?
Each star hangs from its own string, so you can hang them from a curtain pole, a hook in the ceiling or a window frame.
What colour are the stars?
All three are cream, a soft shade that sits well with fresh greenery, pale wood and other paper decorations at Christmas.
Where do the stars look best?
They suit a window, a stairwell, a landing or a bare wall. Hang them at staggered heights with a little space between them so each outline shows clearly.
