Description

A butter dish in two parts: a square tray 15cm across and 12cm deep, and a lid with an arched handle that sits over it. The clay is white, and fine indigo lines are painted down the sides of the lid, each one tapering to a point and set close enough together to read as a band. A narrower line of the same pattern runs round the rim of the tray.

Fifteen centimetres by twelve takes a block of butter laid flat with the knife beside it, and the lid keeps it covered between meals. It is food safe and dishwasher safe.

The clay is white and the painting is done by hand in Vietnam, line by line, so no two dishes carry the same spacing. An Iba serving bowl is made in two sizes in the same pattern.
