Description

This is a single artificial hydrangea stem in beige, 65cm tall with a full, rounded flowerhead 20cm across. The head is made up of many small florets, each with a tiny centre, packed closely into the mophead shape for which hydrangeas are loved. A pair of leaves sits just beneath the bloom, and the long stem has the knotted look of a woody branch. It is made of 80% polyester, 10% iron and 10% polyethylene and weighs just 0.078KG, so it is light in the hand.

At 65cm, the stem suits a tall vase on a sideboard, a hallway console or a mantelpiece, where the head can rise clear of the rim. On its own in a narrow vase or a tall bottle it makes a soft, simple display; gathered with other faux flowers and greenery, it gives a mixed bouquet a generous, rounded centre.
