Description
The Hunter Dog Figurine is a 50cm-long polyresin sculpture of a hound in mid-stride, head lowered and nose to the ground as if tracking scent. The dog is cast in a walking pose with extended front legs and trailing hind leg, tail held straight out for balance, and ears angled forward. The sculpture is hand-finished with an antique bronze patina that highlights the musculature and texture of the coat, then mounted on a 50cm x 10.4cm matt black rectangular plinth.
Designed as a decorative accent for hallway console tables, mantelpieces, bookshelves and sideboard tops, the figurine works in interiors with traditional, country house or contemporary industrial styling. The 50cm length gives it presence without requiring a large footprint — the narrow 10.4cm depth means it fits on shelves and surfaces where deeper ornaments would not. The antique bronze finish pairs well with brass hardware, oak furniture and leather upholstery.
The polyresin casting captures detail in the coat texture, leg joints and facial features that would be cost-prohibitive in solid bronze. The hand-applied patina varies between individual pieces, giving each figurine slightly different tonal variation in the bronze finish. The combined weight of the resin dog and plinth is 1.95kg, providing stability on most surfaces without needing additional weighting or fixing. The distressed bronze finish means the sculpture does not require polishing to maintain its appearance.

Frequently Asked
Is this solid bronze or resin?
The figurine is cast in polyresin and hand-finished with an antique bronze patina. Polyresin allows the level of detail seen in the coat and musculature at a fraction of the weight and cost of solid bronze, while the hand-applied finish gives the appearance of aged metal.
Does the patina wear or need maintenance?
No. The antique bronze finish is applied during manufacture and sealed, so it does not require polishing or waxing. The distressed appearance is intentional and will not degrade with handling or dusting.
Can it be used outdoors?
The polyresin is not UV-stabilised or weatherproof. The figurine is designed for indoor use only — prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, rain or frost will degrade both the resin and the bronze finish.
How is it cleaned?
Dust with a soft dry cloth or brush. For more stubborn marks, a barely-damp microfibre cloth is acceptable, but avoid soaking the resin or using household sprays and polishes, which may damage the patina.
