This is a table lamp of two clear parts: a round base that swells out from a slim neck, and a wide shade that flares down to a gently waved hem. The whole lamp is white, and it stands 60cm tall and 42cm across, so it holds its own on a sideboard rather than disappearing among smaller things. By composition it is 45% linen, 35% stoneware, 10% iron and 10% PVC, and it weighs 2.04KG. Stoneware is dense and weighty for its size, a good quality in a lamp base.

At this height it suits a surface with room around it: a hall console at the foot of the stairs, a cabinet or sideboard in the living room, or a long side table against a wall. The shade alone is 25cm tall and 42cm across, so allow that width when you set it beside shelves, mirrors or other pieces.
