Description

This is a glass-fronted wooden cabinet in green with a surprise inside: the back carries a green floral tile pattern that shows through both doors, so it reads as decoration even when the shelves are bare. It is 81cm long, 18cm wide and 122cm tall, made mainly from fir wood and MDF with tempered glass in the doors, and its composition also includes paper and a little iron. Inside, three shelves divide the space into four levels, giving you room to arrange things at different heights rather than stack them.

Its slim 18cm depth is the figure that matters most: the cabinet takes very little room from a kitchen, dining room, hallway or study, yet at 122cm tall it gives you real display height. We like it for crockery and glassware you want on show, for a row of well-loved books, or for small ceramics and collected pieces in a living room. The glass doors keep everything in view while closing it off from the room, which suits a busy kitchen or a hallway where things would otherwise gather dust in the open.

The frame is painted, and along the edges the paint is worn back for a lived-in look that sits happily in older houses and mixed, collected rooms. Two small metal pull handles meet at the centre of the doors, which open on side hinges. Care is simple: wipe it clean with a moist cloth.
