Description

This Knightsbridge grid switch cover is pre-printed with 'FAN' in recessed lettering and finished in black nickel. The cover clips onto the front of a standard Knightsbridge grid rocker switch module, replacing the blank rocker with a labelled one to identify the outlet controlling an extractor fan, ceiling fan or ventilation unit.

Designed for kitchens, bathrooms, utility rooms and offices where multiple grid switches sit in the same faceplate and need visual differentiation, the cover measures 33mm high by 16mm wide and fits the standard Knightsbridge grid rocker footprint. It removes the need to remember which switch operates which appliance when several rockers are mounted side-by-side in a 2-gang, 3-gang or larger grid plate.

The black nickel finish is a dark gunmetal tone with a low-sheen metallic surface that resists fingerprints better than polished chrome or brass. The cover is constructed from ABS plastic with a steel reinforcement plate behind the rocker mechanism, giving it enough rigidity to withstand repeated switching without flexing. The IP20 rating confirms it's suitable for dry indoor use but not for locations exposed to water jets or outdoor moisture.

Does this fit all Knightsbridge grid switches?

Yes. The cover fits the standard Knightsbridge grid rocker footprint used across their modular grid range. It clips onto the existing rocker module without needing to remove the switch from the wall or disconnect wiring.

Can the cover be removed and replaced later?

Yes. The cover clips on and off the rocker mechanism, so it can be swapped for a different designation or a blank cover if the outlet's function changes. The rocker itself remains in place during the swap.
