Description

The Knightsbridge grid blanking module is a 25mm-wide white faceplate insert designed to fill unused positions in the Curved Edge modular grid system. Made from thermoset resin with anti-microbial properties tested to ISO 22196:2011, the module clips into grid frames without requiring tools or additional fixings.

Used in residential, healthcare, hospitality and office installations where a grid frame has been specified with more module positions than are currently needed, the blanking module maintains a clean, finished appearance rather than leaving empty apertures exposed. The module is front-mounting, clipping onto the same grid frame that holds switches, sockets and other grid accessories in the Curved Edge range.

The white finish coordinates with the Knightsbridge Curved Edge switches and sockets collection, and the thermoset resin construction provides durability without discolouration under UV exposure. The 11mm recessed depth sits flush with adjacent modules when installed, and the IP20 rating makes it suitable for dry interior locations. Knightsbridge backs the module with a 25-year warranty.

What is a grid blanking module used for?

A blanking module fills unused positions in a modular grid frame. If you install a 3-module or 4-module grid plate but only need two active modules (switches or sockets), the blanking module fills the remaining apertures to prevent exposed back box visibility and maintain a finished appearance.

Is this compatible with all Knightsbridge grid systems?

No. This blanking module is designed exclusively for the Knightsbridge Curved Edge grid system. It will not fit the flat-edge or other grid ranges. Check the grid frame and adjacent modules are part of the Curved Edge collection before ordering.

How is it fitted?

The module clips directly onto the front of the grid frame without requiring screws or additional fixings. Position the module in the empty aperture and press until it clicks into place. Removal is achieved by gently prising the module from the frame.

What does the anti-microbial rating mean?

The thermoset resin has been third-party tested to ISO 22196:2011, which measures the ability of a material to inhibit bacterial growth on its surface. This makes the module suitable for healthcare, hospitality and food-preparation environments where surface hygiene is a priority.
