Description

Our Gloria storage jar is a little Christmas shop made in dolomite ceramic, with a red upper storey, a snow-topped roof with its own chimney, and a shop awning lettered HOT CHOCOLATE over the door and window. The whole upper floor and roof lift away together as the lid, so the house opens at the first floor. It holds 2500ml, which makes it a generous kitchen jar rather than a small trinket pot, and it stands 34cm tall, 20.5cm long and 20.5cm wide, with a small Christmas tree moulded beside the shop window on its snowy base.

It is approved for food, so it earns a place on the kitchen counter through December as a jar for hot chocolate powder, marshmallows, biscuits or wrapped sweets, ready for anyone coming in from the cold. On a dresser, a sideboard or a wide windowsill it looks like a building from a Christmas village, and it suits a family who likes the decorations to be useful as well as cheerful.
