Description
The Glastonbury is a tall, slender floor lamp built from black steel: four upright rods rise from a round base and hold a cylindrical shade of vaporised glass in a black-transparent tone. It stands 136cm tall and measures 25cm in diameter, with a base 30cm across, so it needs very little floor space and slips neatly into a narrow corner. It takes a single E27 bulb up to a maximum of 60W, and the bulb sits in view through the tinted glass. Rated IP20, it is made for dry indoor rooms, which settles where it belongs: the living room, the bedroom or a hallway, well away from water.
We like it most in the corner beside a sofa or armchair, where the slim frame fills an awkward gap without crowding the room. The tinted glass takes the edge off a bare bulb, so it gives a gentle, atmospheric glow for evenings rather than a harsh glare, and its black and smoky grey palette sits comfortably in industrial, monochrome or modern interiors. In a bedroom it works well beside a dresser or a chair, and in an open-plan space it helps mark out a seating area. Because the frame stays open between the rods, the lamp looks light and airy even at its full height, which suits smaller flats as much as larger rooms.
The frame is black steel, braced by a cross bar partway up the rods, and the cord runs down through the centre, with a cord switch so you can turn the lamp on and off without reaching for the shade. Packed, it weighs 6.107KG, and the installation instructions are available as a download. The bulb is not included, so pick any E27 bulb up to 60W: a clear filament bulb shows off the glass beautifully, while a lower-output bulb keeps the glow soft for quiet evenings.

No. It is rated IP20, which means it is made for dry indoor rooms such as a living room, bedroom or hallway, and should stay well away from water.
Which bulb does the lamp need?
It takes one E27 bulb up to a maximum of 60W. The bulb is not included, so you can choose the style and brightness that suit your room.
How tall is the Glastonbury floor lamp?
It stands 136cm tall and measures 25cm in diameter, on a round base 30cm across, so it fits comfortably into a narrow corner.
