Description
Our Gina bowls come as a set of four. Each one is made from 100% stoneware and hand-painted in a warm brown with fine icing-style line work: arched windows, a doorway hung with a wreath and dotted trim, so every bowl reads like a little gingerbread house. Inside, the brushstrokes swirl down to the base, and a dotted border runs just under a lighter band at the rim. Each bowl is 14cm across and 7.5cm tall and holds 500ml. That makes it a proper cereal, soup or pudding bowl rather than a small dip dish.
These are made for the Christmas table and the weeks running up to it. Fill them with porridge on a cold December morning, ladle in soup at a festive lunch, or serve trifle, crumble and ice cream when the plates are cleared. With four in the set, a couple or a small family has a bowl each, and they sit happily beside festive decorations on a kitchen dresser. They also make a good home for biscuits, sweets or nuts set out on the coffee table while guests arrive. A set of four makes a thoughtful gift for anyone who decorates early.
Stoneware is dense and hard-wearing, and these bowls suit daily use through the season. They go in the dishwasher, the microwave and the oven, so you can warm leftovers, bake a small crumble or reheat soup in the bowl you serve it in. The hand-painted finish means the brushwork shows, which is part of the charm. To style them, stack them by the hob with a wooden board and a jar of cinnamon sticks, or set one at each place on a linen runner so the little doorways face your guests.

Frequently Asked
Can these bowls go in the dishwasher?
Yes. They go in the dishwasher, and they can also go in the microwave and the oven, so reheating and washing up take no extra care.
How big are the bowls?
Each bowl is 14cm across and 7.5cm tall and holds 500ml, a good size for cereal, soup, porridge or a generous pudding.
How many bowls do I get?
You get four bowls, all hand-painted in the same brown gingerbread-house style, so there is one for each person at a small table.
What are the bowls made of?
They are made from 100% stoneware, a dense and hard-wearing ceramic, and the decoration on each bowl is painted by hand.
Can I bake in these bowls?
Yes. They can go in the oven, so a small crumble, baked oats or a pudding can be baked and served in the same bowl.
