Description

The Flimarne is an LED floor lamp drawn as a single line of light: a tall oval with two smaller rings linked through its centre, standing on a round disc base. The frame is aluminium and steel in black, and a white plastic diffuser runs around the inside of each ring, so the light glows from within the outline rather than from a bulb. It stands 120.5cm tall and 30cm wide, on a base with a 25cm diameter. The LEDs are integrated and give 4,400lm at 3000K, a warm white. It is rated IP20, which means it belongs indoors in a dry room.

Because the light comes from the rings themselves, the Flimarne works as much as a piece of sculpture as a lamp, which makes it a good choice for a living room corner beside a sofa, a bare stretch of wall in a hallway, or a bedroom that wants a softer glow than the ceiling light gives. The footprint is small, just the disc base, so it fits where a wider shaded lamp would crowd the space. With 4,400lm it gives real working light for the room as well as an accent, and the warm white sits comfortably with evening lighting.

Turning the light on and off is done with a foot switch on the cable, so there is no reaching behind furniture. It runs at 220-240V, 50/60Hz and carries an energy class of E. At 1.77KG it is light enough to lift and move from room to room as your layout changes. The LED and the driver can be replaced by a specialist, so a fault years from now need not mean buying a new lamp. The installation instructions are available as a download.
