Description

This is a wide pink glass bowl with a rippled rim that circles the whole piece, pressed into deep ribs that radiate from the centre like the petals of an open flower. It measures 29cm across and 11cm tall, so it is a broad, shallow bowl rather than a deep mixing bowl, with a flared body that narrows to a small foot. That foot rests on a thick round glass disc, which lifts the whole bowl a little from the surface. The glass has a soft, flecked look, with paler streaks running through the pink, and at 2.5KG it has real weight in the hand.

The maker rates it food safe, so it can work at the table as well as on a shelf.
