Description

The Garden is a 15cm pendant light built around an oval white polycarbonate shade bisected by a brushed gold band, suspended from a matt black ceiling canopy. An integrated 6W LED inside the shade produces 496lm at 3000K, casting warm ambient light through the textured polycarbonate in both upward and downward directions.

Designed for kitchen islands, dining tables and hallways, the Garden suits installation heights between 50cm and 200cm depending on ceiling height and intended application. For a kitchen island or worktop the pendant typically hangs 70-90cm above the surface; over a dining table 75-85cm. The compact 15cm diameter and 32cm shade height make it appropriate for solo installation above a small breakfast table or in multiples above longer kitchen runs.

The white polycarbonate is impact-resistant and lighter than glass, with a textured interior surface that diffuses the LED source into an even glow. The brushed gold band sits flush against the polycarbonate and provides visual separation between the upward and downward light zones. The matt black canopy and cable run maintain a low visual profile on white or light-toned ceilings.

The integrated LED is dimmable when paired with a compatible LED dimmer (dimmer sold separately). The Class 1 rating requires connection to mains earth, and the IP20 rating restricts installation to dry indoor locations only.

Is the Garden dimmable?

Yes. The integrated 6W LED is dimmable when connected to a compatible LED trailing-edge or TRIAC dimmer. The dimmer must be rated for LED loads — older incandescent dimmers may cause flickering or failure to dim smoothly.

What installation height works best?

The suspension is adjustable between 50cm and 200cm. For kitchen islands or worktops, hang the pendant 70-90cm above the surface. Over a dining table, 75-85cm is typical. Adjust during installation to suit your ceiling height and room proportions.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

No. The IP20 rating restricts the Garden to dry indoor locations only. It is not suitable for bathrooms, outdoor canopies, or any area exposed to moisture or spray.

How many pendants are needed for a kitchen island?

For a 1.5-2m island, two Garden pendants spaced evenly provide balanced coverage. For islands longer than 2.5m, three or more pendants work better. The 496lm output from each pendant suits ambient and decorative roles rather than primary task lighting.
