Description

The Funk is a tall conical pendant light measuring 40cm high by 19cm in diameter, finished in matt white on the outside with a beaten gold interior. The shade is formed from a single piece of metal, narrowing to a slim waisted neck before a small cylindrical canopy. A single E27 lamp holder sits inside the cone, with the bulb concealed and its light bouncing off the hammered gold lining (bulb sold separately).

The 150cm cable allows the pendant to drop generously over kitchen islands, breakfast bars and dining tables, with installers typically setting the shade 700-800mm above a worktop or table surface. The narrow 19cm diameter means a row of two or three Funk pendants can be hung along an island without crowding, and the directional cone throws a defined pool of light downward rather than washing the whole room.

The contrast between the cool matt white outer shell and the warm beaten gold interior is the defining feature: from above, the shade reads as a clean white sculptural form, while from below the hammered gold reflects light back as a warm amber glow around the bulb. The textured gold lining catches and breaks up the light, softening the beam compared with a smooth metallic interior.

The Funk takes a single E27 (Edison screw) bulb, sold separately. A warm-white LED filament bulb between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K pairs well with the gold interior, reinforcing the amber reflected glow. Maximum wattage should follow the bulb manufacturer's guidance for an enclosed-style fitting.

Can the drop height be adjusted?

Yes. The 150cm cable can be shortened on installation by your electrician to set the pendant at the right height for your ceiling. Above a kitchen island or dining table, the shade typically sits 700-800mm above the surface.

Can it be hung in a cluster?

The slim 19cm diameter and elongated cone shape make the Funk well suited to multi-pendant arrangements over long islands or dining tables. Each pendant requires its own ceiling rose and feed, or a multi-outlet bar fitted by an electrician.

Is it suitable for bathrooms?

The Funk does not carry an IP rating in the supplied specification, so it should be installed in dry interior locations only and not within bathroom zones.
