Freida Organza Pendant Lampshade Cream 50cm with Crystal Droplets

The Freida is a 50cm diameter organza lampshade in cream with cascading crystal strands suspended inside the fabric drum. Each strand ends in a hexagonal crystal drop that refracts light across the interior of the shade when the lamp is switched on. The organza outer layer diffuses the light source, softening the glow while the crystals add controlled sparkle at close viewing angles.

Designed as a non-electric shade for existing table lamp and floor lamp bases, the Freida fits standard lamp harps and accepts bulbs up to 40W (E27 or B22 depending on the base fitting). The 18cm height and 50cm diameter suit taller lamp bases of 50-80cm height where the proportions keep the shade from dominating the base. The cream tone pairs with brass, antique bronze, ceramic and painted wood bases without clashing with existing interior colour schemes.

The organza fabric is stitched with vertical pleats that run from top to bottom, giving the shade structured definition rather than a flat stretched appearance. The pleats also prevent light pooling at the seams where fabric panels join. The crystal strands inside sit approximately 40mm from the organza surface, creating depth rather than pressing flat against the inside of the fabric. Total weight including crystal and frame is 640g, meaning most standard lamp bases carry it without needing additional ballast.

What lamp base does the Freida fit?

The Freida fits standard lamp harps found on most table and floor lamp bases. The 50cm diameter works best on lamp bases between 50-80cm height to maintain proportion. Confirm your base has a harp fitting before ordering.

What wattage bulb can it take?

Maximum 40W. Most users pair the Freida with a 6-10W LED bulb in warm white (2700K-3000K) to achieve adequate brightness without overheating the organza fabric. Avoid halogen bulbs due to heat output.

How is the organza cleaned?

Switch the lamp off and allow it to cool completely. Use a soft brush attachment on a vacuum cleaner set to low suction to remove dust from the pleats. For marks, a barely-damp microfibre cloth is acceptable but avoid soaking the organza or using spray cleaners.

Are the crystal strands removable?

The crystal strands are part of the internal frame structure and are not designed to be removed. Removing them would leave visible mounting points inside the shade and affect the way light distributes through the organza.
